Hello all! I’m back today with a featured blogger, Julie from RoadkillGirl.com, who also runs an online boutique filled with unique clothing styles called Roadkill Ranch. I’m super excited to introduce you to Julie! Read More »
This is my excited-for-spring, Easter outfit. The trees are BLOOMING in full force, and when spring comes around I can’t help but get giddy for all the clothes I shall wear. I like how this outfit is a mix of dark, winter pieces and lighter, airy spring pieces. I also love the color combination of burgundy and this deep, rosy coral. Finding this color combo made me v. happy. Hope you like it!
I wore this old H&M dress on Thanksgiving, paired with my favorite new black Oxfords, my mom’s old belt from the 80s, and this beautiful coat from New Dress. The belt was perhaps a mistake during turkey and dessert, but otherwise, it was a comfy, dressy outfit for one of my favorite days of the year. Hope you like!

I love the colors, textures, and patterns of this outfit. I also love the contrast of pairing high-waisted pants/crop top combo with a long, boho cardigan like this one, absolutely perfect for fall. It’s from boohoo.com, which is quickly becoming my one-stop shopping site. Price-wise it’s close to Forever 21, but I think the quality is much better.
I added some old touches: my trusty overknee suede boots that are basically an almost daily staple during the colder months, and a braided belt my mom bought in the 80s! It looks vintage, but also like something Balmain would come out with! I also wore this belt on Halloween night for my Kendall Jenner costume, because it reminded me of this braided, embellished Balmain top, and she’s like, Mrs. Balmain. 🙂

As you can probably guess, I just can’t get away from my color obsession, despite my current neutral-toned wardrobe. Even though this amazing Boohoo romper is a pretty neutral blush, I had to wear it with this multicolored vintage blazer I scored for cheap. I’m into this whole monochrome effect right now, so the blush Jeffrey Campbells were the perfect choice. Funny thing: this old blazer has some serious shoulder pads.
Also: pretty body chain! Simple and subtle, from Forever 21. I love wearing florals all day EVERY DAY.

I call this dream vanity set “If Marie Antoinette Were a Flapper.” I found all these items on One Kings Lane, and disclosure: this post is part of their Reflect Your Style campaign! This is a pretty fun assignment where I got to browse the beautiful items on One Kings Lane and put together a dream vanity set from the items they sell, both new and vintage. Needless to say, I found myself gravitating toward the more expensive, vintage items. My favorite piece of this whole collection is that set of nutty 1920s sunbathers. They look jolly, don’t they?
As my favorite statement mirror, I chose the Sardis Baroque Mirror, which has a nice plum hue to it. I thought it would work well with the very elegant other statement pieces in this setup and add a touch of whimsy! Check out the entire collection and the links on my Polyvore page.
I don’t have much of a vanity in my home. I do my makeup in the bathroom and in my room, my mirror is basically a fixture, not really something I necessarily need. I spend much more time at my desk, which always has to be perfect. But looking at this setup makes me ache for a vanity set like I’m in an old-Hollywood movie! I would have a gorgeous gilt cup with my brushes all fanned out, and my makeup organized in fabric-lined drawers. Instead of the mess I have now:
Old crap and a plastic fold-up makeup bag. This is so my personality.
This post is the beginning of a week of beauty/hair/makeup posts! A blogger recently asked me about my beauty routine, and while it’s not something I change up very often (I get very stuck in my beauty routine and hardly use new products), I do have some interesting anecdotes I’d like to share. So follow along to read more!
Thanks to One Kings Lane for picking me to participate in this fun activity!
