Hey all! This week I have a fun outfit to share combining two major trends this year, and two of my favorite ones possibly ever: embroidery and bell sleeves! It’s definitely an eye-catching combination, but I think it’s super fun to style these two very bold trends in one look, and this is an outfit I’ve worn a few times, and one I always feel pretty and confident wearing! I’m pretty obsessed with embroidery lately, ain’t gonna lie. Anything floral print pretty much has my heart. <3
One of the best pieces I bought this year was this simple, button-down denim dress. A frugal shopper, I scored it on sale at Wet Seal just before they closed down, and despite the price tag, it’s a quality piece I’ve worn a dozen times already since I bought it in late January. I’ve worn it to work with tights during winter, and now that it’s a wet, chilly spring here, it’s still the perfect casual work look—with a spring upgrade!
I’m all about trying ways to make my work outfits super fun, and one of the ways I do that is by playing with patterns and shapes. There’s nothing I love better than a good ol’ floral print, so wearing anything with a floral print (like embroidery) instantly makes me feel more like myself! Which is especially important when you’re dressing for work–business casual can even be a drag sometimes.
I put together this look with shades of blue and a contrasting pale pink shoe. I think it’s a perfect work-appropriate spring look that you can wear afterward, too. Letting an outfit take you from desk to dinner is a definite plus! Hope you like this look. 🙂Read More »
End of summer means TIGHTS! I’m one of those girls who love stockings and tights of all kinds, and think that a good pair of tights can totally make an entire outfit. I love patterned tights, brightly-colored tights, soft knit ones, and thin sheer ones to achieve every kind of look possible.
Today, I’m highlighting these amazing brocade-patterned knit tights by Hue, paired with this amazing, heavy sweater dress from Dezzal. It’s a bit of an unusual style, because the hems are all artfully ripped in different places, which is why I absolutely had to have this dress to begin with! It’s heavy and warm, but the no-sleeves thing make it a good fall piece—perfect to transition! I hope you like this look…
Hello all! Back with an outfit that’s a little out of my comfort zone today, inspired by the 90s trends that are currently coming back like crazy. I wore this outfit to a concert in the city recently. I borrowed this soft shirt dress from my sister, and paired it with some accessories that remind me of Kylie Jenner doing throwback 90s trends!

I love long summer evenings when the sun takes forever to set, and so for hours the entire world looks like it’s gilded. I took these photos during that golden hour time, and it was actually perfect for this outfit. The romper is a knit romper from Shein, a website I’ve reviewed before and still find to be a decent outlet for trends, and this soft jumpsuit is a perfect transition piece for my wardrobe.
New favorite romper! Floral prints and red are two of my favorite things, so this outfit is basically perfect for me. I have a little bit of trouble with rompers being too damn short, so I was initially very hesitant about ordering a romper from Romwe, but to my very pleasant surprise, this piece fits me perfectly, aside from a small pin in the neckline to make sure I don’t have any wardrobe malfunctions. 🙂
Romwe has been in the news lately for providing less than stellar pieces of clothing, which was a consideration for me when I accepted a sponsorship, but I think that with a few smart shopping tips, which I plan to talk more about in a future post, there are perks to doing some frugal, “fast fashion” shopping at these inexpensive sites.
I paired this romper with one of my favorite pairs of shoes for the season, from Nasty Gal’s collection. I bought them in 2014, and surprisingly, they’re still in style. (Truly, even if they weren’t, I would still wear them often.) I hope you like this look, because I certainly think this romper will become a staple in my summer wardrobe this year!
Today’s outfit is another work-appropriate one featuring some brand-new styles from Statement Boutique. First, these daisy-printed cotton pants I’m obsessed with, and then this chiffon vest I love! I paired it with a pair of blush sandals from Jeffrey Campbell.
Both these pieces are courtesy of the online boutique Statement Boutique. The owner, Nina, decided to open a digital store to provide unique pieces of clothing that were appropriate in both professional settings and casual ones, which I think this outfit perfectly mixes.
Hey, today’s my birthday! 24 years old.
I put this outfit together and promptly squealed in delight. This outfit combines some of my favorite things ever: blush pink, floral print, and tutus. I felt like Carrie Bradshaw, and also like one of those ballerinas in a Degas painting. It’s a weird combination, I know. But I felt very happy and twirly.
If I were going Paris Fashion Week this year (dream/life goal), this outfit would be in my suitcase.

Saving money makes me want to spend it. I suppose it makes sense. My little reward for skimping on clothes and driving around to find a meter with time already on it is that once in a while I can give myself free rein to shop, within reason. I bought a dress, a blazer, and a couple of belts. Then I stopped by my local Barnes & Noble and had coffee with my sister. I couldn’t resist picking up a copy of Truman Capote’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
I love the heart keyhole back on this white knit dress, and the blazer is fitted with ruching on the sleeves. I also indulged my inner girly girl with a couple of bow belts.
“What I found does the most good is just to get into a taxi and go to Tiffany’s. It calms me down right away, the quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there.”
