There are certain trends I hop on the bandwagon for, and bell sleeves is one of them. In my quest to find the girliest, most feminine dresses, I always gravitate toward embellishments and design details like those. This year, I leaned hard into the bell-sleeve trend and haven’t looked back!
The time has come. It’s officially time for tights. I look forward to fall dressing so much because I get to haul out my collection of printed and patterned tights once again, and add some serious flair to my outfits. It’s so much fun coming up with the right combination of tights, shoes, dress, and jacket in fall and winter, and it’s sort of like putting a puzzle together: once all the pieces are combined, you’re left with a complete picture. And hopefully it’s one you like!
I was sort of inspired by classic French style this week, as made obvious by my beret. I’ve had this beret since my freshman year of college and only wore it for a costume once. I dug it out of my closet this week and loved the way it finished this look.Read More »
For years, I never wore jeans. There was something about how simple they were and how gosh-darn uncomfortable they are that made me chuck mine out and not touch denim for like three or four years. I know it’s weird, but leggings, stretchies, and colored pants were not only more comfortable, but more fun to wear. This year, I broke my jeans fast and bought myself good-quality Levi’s that are perfect for everyday, for nice occasions, and are stretchy enough to wear all day at work. Score!

I may be late to the velvet game, but I feel like early fall is the perfect time to rock one of these gorgeous velvet crop tops. They’re warm and echo autumn’s deep colors, but they’re definitely perfect for warmer fall days, too! I’m not a huge fan of the velvet boots thing, but I am absolutely on board with the tops!
During spring and summer, there’s nothing more effortless than a maxi dress—it’s instant elegance and it’s so easy to style. But it’s also a great transition piece of clothing, for those days in late summer when the mornings and evenings turn colder and a shorter dress seems out of place, or uncomfortable. Here’s a gorgeous maxi dress I styled with transitioning and fall in mind!
Is it just me or are pineapples everywhere these days? I really like them personally, I think they’re cute and summery and make for an excellent clothing print. Pineapples are also the international symbol of friendship, which is appropriate for this post, considering I bought this skirt after my friend wore it!
I love scalloped hems! They’re such a fun, flirty trend that I have embraced wholeheartedly. I love it on skirts, shirts, and now sleeves! Simple, but adds such a touch of elegance and whimsy to any outfit. This outfit was born from a need to feel springy and yet still be warm, because, as I’ve been whining about for months, it’s still super cold here. Tights, suede boots, and a thick skirt are still necessary, but I can’t help but gravitate toward shorter sleeves and lighter clothes. Hope you like this outfit!
