Last year, I discovered matte liquid lipstick (albeit late) and I loved it: for the most part, one application in the morning meant all-day lip color, with maybe one or two touch-ups around mealtimes. I loved knowing I didn’t have to worry about my makeup, something that, I think, is a huge priority for a lot of us. But matte lipstick isn’t infallible: often, oily food will turn it blotchy and it’s hard to wipe off evenly. I mean, I didn’t think there was anything better, but then I heard about LipSense.
I first heard about LipSense via my sister, who swore by it. It’s basically a two-step, long-wearing lipstick product: one tube holds the actual pigment, and another tube (bought separately) contains a topcoat, or sealant, that prevents the lipcolor from budging, feathering, or fading. The wear can be anywhere from 4-18 hours, and the whole system is meant to improve the health and moisture of your lips, provided you never wear any other lipcolor. 😉
