Hi all! Since it’s finally summer and all, I thought I’d share a fun outfit with you today, featuring cute prints and silhouettes, and new sunglasses from GlassesUSA. I’ve worked with them before–they’ve sent me a pair of prescription glasses that made me actually like wearing glasses again after not owning a pair for like seven years, and their sunglasses are pretty awesome, too. The outfit I have to share today is definitely cutesy–hope you like it!
If there’s one thing everybody on earth universally loves, it’s a head massage. That’s often the best part of getting a haircut or blowout—that amazing shampoo and massage combo your hairdresser gives you that leaves your scalp tingling, and relaxes you into falling asleep at the sink. Recently, I tried a product called the Groove, a scalp massaging shampoo brush from Vanity Planet! Here’s what I thought.
Guys, I think I have a new favorite author, and I’m very late to the game. A while ago I was gifted a copy of Possession: A Romance, by A.S. Byatt, and strangely enough, I’d never heard of it even though there was a movie adaptation in the early 2000s and the book itself won the Booker Prize in 1990! This past month I finally read it, and it’s easily one the best books I’ve ever read.
Hi all! This year I got obsessed with one thing: finding perfect and beautiful vintage dresses, prompted by a pin I saw linking to Etsy. I got lost in the world of Etsy vintage listings, and wound up buying two amazing cotton dresses from the 1950s, one yellow and blue, and one off-white and light brown. This one is the latter.
Recently, I’ve been all about the full skirts and midi lengths. There’s something about them that’s so feminine and empowering. I love the swish of the fabric and sitting down and seeing the skirt billow around me! Plus, I love twirling. 😉 So fun! This dress is from an Etsy shop I found that has a ton of vintage dresses. This one was probably handmade, as it’s unlined and has no tags. I love that vintage clothing has history, and also it’s nice to buy secondhand sometimes.
Hope you like this look!
Every once in a while, you come across a book that feels like a present. The Thorn and the Blossom was that for me. Published in 2012, this book was on my list for a while, but I always seemed to forget it existed. I remember wanting it when it first came out, then I completely forgot about it. A few weeks ago, I saw it on the bargain priced shelf at Barnes & Noble; it was only $5 and I threw it on top of my purchase pile and that was it. In March, we had a snow day from work, and I read this book in one sitting.
Hello all! Today’s look is all about spring pastels and retro vibes. Last summer, I was sent a pair of vintage-pattern polka dot shorts from Simple Retro, and they quickly became one of my favorite pieces ever—I wore them a dozen times, in summer and in the winter, and got so much use from them that I decided to buy another pair. Here they are, in a soft, dusty lavender color! They’re perfect for spring!
Hi all! Today I have another cult favorite skincare item to review, as always, on my quest to find the perfect skincare regimen! I’ve locked into a good routine, but I always like to switch it up to find out what could work better for me. Today I’m reviewing the NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash, a strong, pH-balanced foaming face wash with 18% glycolic acid. I’ve used glycolic acid face washes before, and was eager to try it out!
Hey all! This week I have a fun outfit to share combining two major trends this year, and two of my favorite ones possibly ever: embroidery and bell sleeves! It’s definitely an eye-catching combination, but I think it’s super fun to style these two very bold trends in one look, and this is an outfit I’ve worn a few times, and one I always feel pretty and confident wearing! I’m pretty obsessed with embroidery lately, ain’t gonna lie. Anything floral print pretty much has my heart. <3
Hi all! My obsession with flowers and spring continues, this time at the New York Botanical Garden. I went to Fordham University, which is literally across the street from the NYBG, so I knew it well. I visited the New York Botanical Garden this spring to enjoy a nice walk and some gorgeous pink trees (I’m obsessed). Here are some rambly photos:
Hi all and happy Friday! It’s been a very long week for me; it was the first full week of work in about two weeks, so it has been a struggle. As always, the bright point is spring! Here’s an outfit I put together with one of my new favorite spring/summer dresses, that looks like a picnic table! Of course, you need a wicker bag for a picnic…hope you like this look! 😉
