I love dressing in pastel tones during winter because the pale, muted colors match both my mood and the soft whiteness of snowfall (of which we’ve had a LOT lately). This week’s look is a more casual look, made special with the addition of these metallic-patterned boots I scored for cheap. Hope you like!
The top is this beautiful peplum-inspired, soft cotton piece from Free People I had to have. Like I’ve said a lot in the past, I’m loving Free People lately. I always gravitate toward boho styles, and Free People clothes are always a good investment: I end up wearing their tops and dresses for years, and they’re good quality.
The rest of the outfit is strictly more affordable: these cotton black jeans from Forever 21 and the boots from Charlotte Russe, another one of my often-visited stores. Also loving this old Steve Madden coat with these cute pink gloves! Does anyone else click into “Sale” immediately after going on an online shop? Because I definitely do, and it usually results in some pure gems.
This week in New York was dubbed “The Great Thaw” because we went from subzero temperatures to well in the 50s. Tomorrow it will even hit a low 60. So in addition to shedding my puffer jackets, I can also get back to wearing heels without having to worry about slipping in all the slush! It’s truly the little things in life…;)
