I know, I know. Pastels in fall are not a thing. But any excuse I have to wear blush pink, I take it. I just got a few pieces of pink clothing and I’m not waiting until spring to wear them! I’m a rule-breaker, what can I say? Plus I just got way too excited when I put this outfit together.
These photos were taken in Bryant Park one early morning, when the park was empty and the Winter Village kiosks still in the future. I love the bustle of the Winter Village and the Christmas Tree at Bryant Park, but I also love the park like this: a little deserted, a little eerie, with the carousel covered and leaves flying everywhere.
I also strolled past one of my favorite buildings in New York, the NYPL. Being a member of the New York Public Library is a point of pride for me; it feels like having the keys to the city. Did you know that before the library stood on this point, there was a gigantic reservoir here? It was called the Croton Distributing Reservoir. That was one of the things I learned reading this book.
Pink and burgundy are probably my two favorite colors, and I LOVE combining them. I paired a light pink skirt from Shein with these hella cute floral heels (only $10 right now), and wore a Victorian-style top I got as a gift from my sisters years ago. Victorian-type shirts with high collars are back in, so I whipped it out and voila! Instant outfit. Hope you like this look!
Maybe this weekend I’ll get into some fall activities and wear some actual fall colors…maybe. 😉
