For years, I never wore jeans. There was something about how simple they were and how gosh-darn uncomfortable they are that made me chuck mine out and not touch denim for like three or four years. I know it’s weird, but leggings, stretchies, and colored pants were not only more comfortable, but more fun to wear. This year, I broke my jeans fast and bought myself good-quality Levi’s that are perfect for everyday, for nice occasions, and are stretchy enough to wear all day at work. Score!
There’s definitely something about the mythos of denim and jeans that appeals to me. It’s so American, and is such an iconic element of our country’s style. I knew I had to have a pair, and now I hardly take these off! For this look, I decided to style up with an awesome blouse I found on Shein: this bishop-sleeve blouse, that comes with the cutest little satin bows at the elbows!
I love a good bow, and I especially love great sleeves. I decided to keep the look super simple and let the little elements shine through, just adding some neutral accents like my absolute fave Jeffrey Campbell chunky sandals and a wicker heart-shaped purse! Because why not? This look was so fun to wear and it’s also fine for work, as long as you’re allowed to wear jeans, like I am!
Life is finally beginning to slow down for me. This weekend I’m away at a wedding and then going upstate, and then October is here, bringing with it my 26th birthday and planning for NaNoWriMo. Going to be a busy month work-wise, but I’m looking forward to relaxing on weekends and getting into some new book releases!
