Here’s what’s inspiring me right now, clothes and life-wise:
This weekend I’m going up to the Catskills again, and I can’t wait to be surrounded by the mountains and the leaves changing color. I can’t wait for bonfires and chilly mist and Oktoberfest beers. I’ve always loved this quote by F. Scott Fitzgerald: “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” It’s spoken by the incurably dishonest Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby, but it’s still lovely. Fall really does feel like a new beginning.
This season, I’m really into reds and mustard hues, and definitely brocade and embroidery. Those pops of red really get me excited for cold weather! I also especially love the way a deep blue can make those warm reds and yellows really stand out. I’m going to try to incorporate some blue into my fall wardrobe to replicate that effect.
