Something you may not know about me: I have this thing about seltzer. There’s something so much more refreshing about sparkling water than non-sparkling water, and since I have the opposite of a sweet tooth (no soda for me!), seltzer is one of my favorite things—like, ever. 😉 It’s delicious and refreshing and I love those bubbles. Today I’m giving a new product a try: Spindrift® Sparkling Water.
Spindrift Sparkling Water is a new product from Spindrift, available at Trader Joe’s and Target (among others), and it’s different from other seltzers I’ve tried because it contains real fruit, not just vague “natural flavors.” Spindrift Sparkling Water is actually the first in America to be made with real, squeezed fruit, which you can immediately tell when you crack one open and each is a different color! All their fruit is picked at family farms and the result is actually delicious: more like a carbonated water you’d make at home by squeezing fruit into a seltzer (or spike with vodka for a party) than the flavored seltzer you buy. It’s fresh, bubbly, crazy flavorful, and even slightly pulpy.
I received seven of their flavors to try: Lemon, Raspberry Lime, Orange Mango, Cucumber, Strawberry, Grapefruit, and Blackberry. While I didn’t really care for the Raspberry Lime or Cucumber (because I happen to not like those fruits/veggies), I loved the Lemon, Grapefruit, and Orange Mango. It tastes so much like fruit, and is actually thirst-quenching the way a good, fizzy seltzer should be. The Lemon especially reminded me of Italian lemon sodas (which are made with real, fresh-squeezed lemons) because it tasted so fresh.
I cracked these open during my family’s weekly dinner and we all got to taste-test and try these waters, and we all loved them. It was a crazy hot day, and these were definitely refreshing enough to keep me cool.
All in all, I think this is an awesome product, especially for summer, or if you’re not one to drink a lot of water. Switching from soda to Spindrift sparkling water, for example, would probably be a breeze since they taste so good and don’t contain any sugar or additives. Just sparkling water and fruit. ALSO, like I mentioned before, adding some ice, fresh fruit, and a shot of liquor to these babies for a summer party is a GREAT idea. They’d even be good to mix with wine for sangria!
Soon, I’ll be giving away all of the above Spindrift sparkling waters, plus some goodies, on my Instagram! Head over there to follow + enter in a few days!
