This year I’ll be very, very sad when summer ends. Usually I love the change of seasons but this summer has been so fun, and so good to me. I’ve been able to visit new cities, spend time with friends and family, hit new heights in my career, and spend a lot of time outdoors. Plus. I’ll miss being able to dress in flowy skirts, crop tops, and bright colors. 🙂
I’m a big believer in frugal shopping: saving for a home and being on a budget means I have to search to find deals, but since I’m also a dedicated fashion lover, the search is worth it. This is an outfit I bought from Marshalls, an excellent source for great looking clothes for a lot less. This outfit is totally me: flowers, flow, and a healthy dose of pink! I feel like a million bucks when I wear it, but I spent like $30. 😀 Hope you like it!
Unfortunately, since I did shop these in-store at Marshalls, I wasn’t able to find this exact skirt online—but I’ve linked some very similar ones below that are just as cute (like this blue one from Charlotte Russe, or this almost exact dupe from Shein! And, more important, just as affordable.
I also really like this outfit because I got to play around with contrasting colors, utilizing that tried-and-true method of matching opposing colors on the color wheel. This is my go-to method for building eye-catching outfits in no time. I feel like this is an outfit I’ll wear a lot for the end of summer, because it’s effortless and versatile and looks like I spent a lot more time and money on it than I actually did! Plus, the twist-wrap cropped tee is just too cute. I found the exact one online here! Seriously, this outfit is a steal.
