New Look // Classic Summer Style with a Quirky Backpack

Hi all! It’s been a little while since I’ve written, and it’s because I was very busy having an awesome Fourth of July weekend! It was nice to take a small break from blogging and enjoy the sun and summer. I spent last weekend at Long Beach, staying at my cousins’ house and laying out on the beach. Long Beach is a cute little beach town where everyone is so friendly and there’s tons to do, and we had a great time! Summer is the best time to give yourself a break in terms of responsibilities, and recharge for the rest of the year. 🙂

Today’s outfit is a bit patriotic now that I think of it: I was looking for a way to restyle these two rather old dresses, and I decided to layer them! The dress underneath is a simple polka dot skater dress, and the red is a short shirt dress I usually style with a belt and tights for the fall! Layering like this is a really fun way to get more use out of your clothes and find a fresh way to style old items. Hope you like this look!

My favorite part of this outfit is the bag. I initially came across this bag on a sketchy site and it was over $70. After a bit of digging, I found the same exact one for wholesale on AliExpress, the Chinese Amazon. I was a bit wary ordering from there, but actually, they have excellent customer service and a lot of transparency, so I felt comfortable knowing I could secure a refund if the transaction didn’t go as planned. I absolutely LOVE this backpack!

I’ve been into the backpack trend and this is my first piece! In case you didn’t know, London has a huge place in my heart, and this bag is a beautiful reminder of my favorite city. Plus, it holds a book as well as all my other necessities! Huge plus!
