Beauty Review // Hyla3D HA Activating Complex by Jan Marini

Hey all! Today I have a beauty review to share, about the Hyla3D HA Activating Complex by Jan Marini Skin Research. As you may know, I have super sensitive, combination skin that’s prone to breakouts. I also have a touch of rosacea and I tend to get bad blackheads. Over the past few years, I’ve found that keeping my skin super moisturized is the key to staying breakout- and blackhead-free! It’s weird, because I have oily skin, but washing my face with oils and slathering on moisturizer really works wonders for me.File Apr 24, 5 07 05 PM

So that’s why hyaluronic acid is a great product. Hyaluronic acid is a substance our skin makes naturally, but which declines as we get older. Hyaluronic acid is responsible for keeping our skin moist and supple, and wrinkle-free as we age. I gave the Hyla3D HA Activating Complex a try, as a replacement for another product I’d loved (review here) and thankfully, I really liked it! Here’s a little bit more about this product and how I used it:

The directions say to use a modest amount in the morning and the evening before your regular moisturizer. Since I use rosacea medication in the morning and didn’t want to oversaturate my sensitive skin with product, I only used this at night. With my last hyaluronic acid product, I would see a difference in my skin within 12 hours: my skin looked brighter, smoother, softer, and would have cleared up—overnight!

The Hyla3D HA Activating Complex didn’t work quite as well as I’d hoped, but with a few days’ sustained, dedicated use, I definitely noticed a tighter, smoother, clearer face. After a month, I felt more hydrated and much clearer. I’m very happy with this product, and would definitely recommend it for all ages; however, it is marketed toward women with aging skin, and even though I can’t speak for those results, I don’t doubt that my results indicate that this product would work well. Whether it’s the best one out there, I don’t know–my previous product worked better than this one for my skin, at least!

Here’s how it works:
  • Multiple molecular weights and forms of HA result in deep penetration and rapid, long-lasting, continual hydration.
  • Advanced technologies enhance native HA within the skin.
  • Peptides and antioxidants boost collagen and elastin. As a result, Hyla3D restores hydration and 3-dimensional volume, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a more youthful, contoured look.

The Hyla3D HA Activating Complex is a thin, yellowish liquid that covers your face with a thin layer you can’t really feel—it’s light and doesn’t feel tight. I use it every night before bed and have enjoyed consistently good results! It’s pricey at $125, but if you’re looking for a good hyaluronic acid face treatment, definitely give this one a go!
