I’m all about trying ways to make my work outfits super fun, and one of the ways I do that is by playing with patterns and shapes. There’s nothing I love better than a good ol’ floral print, so wearing anything with a floral print (like embroidery) instantly makes me feel more like myself! Which is especially important when you’re dressing for work–business casual can even be a drag sometimes.
I put together this look with shades of blue and a contrasting pale pink shoe. I think it’s a perfect work-appropriate spring look that you can wear afterward, too. Letting an outfit take you from desk to dinner is a definite plus! Hope you like this look. 🙂
I got the cigarette pants from Topshop; unfortunately I think they’re sold out now. This cheap black bodysuit is such a staple in my closet that it’s worn thin from too many wears–have to replace it! And of course, you’ve probably seen these shoes before: from Jeffrey Campbell, they’re my go-to spring and summer shoe. Finally, this longline vest is perfect for making the outfit look professional but not boring. I’ve also worn this vest dozens of times, probably once a week at work!
Finding pieces of clothing that will work for me, and work hard, makes getting dressed in the morning sooo much easier. I don’t think I could ever do a capsule wardrobe but if I did, this piece would definitely be in it!
