New look // Vintage style dress + shoes for daytime

Hello all and happy new year! Hope your Eves and Days were wonderful, and you’re settling into a brand new year full of resolutions, determination, and hope. I had a great holiday season and now I’m looking forward to new beginnings! I put together this outfit with a party in mind, but this is also a look I would wear for work. I like the vintage style touches of this outfit, and thought I would show how to wear vintage style pieces for daytime, for any occasion. Hope you like this look!

The dress is from StyleWe, and I have to admit I was skeptical about the fit/quality. It’s obviously from a company based in China, so sizing might have been an issue. And though the dress fits nicely, it’s obviously built for a smaller woman/one with little to no curves! I’m small, but not that small, and I definitely have a curve or two. 🙂 As for the quality, it’s very sturdy and well made, and the inside lining is made with fleece. IT’S FLEECE! Fleece throughout the bodice, skirt, and even the sleeves! So once I drew my hands inside the dress I was sold. It’s a definite winter piece, and can work for day or night.

I wore this dress sans accessories, only putting on simple black tights and vintage style shoes, to reinforce the old-fashioned effect. I would wear this look to work, perhaps with a blazer on top, or for a fancier daytime party. I love anything girly/feminine/lacy, so this dress was an easy pick!

Have an awesome first weekend of the year!
