An in-depth Zaful review // hit or miss?

Here on The Most Happy, I like to showcase trends as well as personal style, and because my style tends to change a lot based on the season, shopping the latest trends can get expensive. I like getting deals and being frugal about my shopping habit, so of course, sites like Romwe, Shein, and Zaful have often appeared on my computer screen. But it’s also a risk to shop at sites like these, because they’re often a rip off. I’ve already reviewed Romwe and Shein, and today I thought I’d do an in-depth Zaful review.

Zaful-review

Full disclosure! All of these items were in a PR package provided by Zaful, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be 100% honest in my Zaful review! So, without further ado, here’s what I ordered from Zaful and whether it was a hit or a miss.

1. “Alluring Color Block One Piece Swimwear”

Side-by-side comparison of what I ordered and what I received:

I really like this swimsuit on the model and on myself. I wore it a couple times and got compliments, and even though it bunches in a couple places, it’s still pretty impressive for the price, as well as for the fact that buying swimsuits online, especially one pieces, is always a shot in the dark.

2. “Cut Out V-Neck Knotted Print Romper”

Side-by-side comparison of what I ordered and what I received:

I decided to test a romper because those tend to be one of the hardest items of clothing to find online that will fit well in person! I liked the fit of this romper, especially the length of it since rompers tend to be too short on me. However, the tie front is too revealing, and the material is waaaay too thin. However, I let my sister try it on and she adored it, so go figure! For me, it’s a beach cover-up.

3. “Rhinestone Inverted Triangle Pendant Necklace”

Side-by-side comparison of what I ordered and what I received:

LOVE this necklace. I’ve worn it recently, and though the quality is comparable to similar costume jewelry, I can see myself wearing this until I get sick of it. I’ve incorporated this necklace into an outfit coming soon!

4. “Triangle Stone Layered Necklace”

I actually never received this item. When I contacted customer service, they told me they sent it and that was it. Thought you all should know that.

5. “Red Keyhole Neckline Sleeveless Maxi Dress”

Side-by-side comparison of what I ordered and what I received:

I tried this dress on and fell in love. The fit is perfect, and it’s very sturdy quality. It’s also a perfect match to the picture, which is a huge plus.

6. “Ethnic Tassel Pendant Necklace”

Side-by-side comparison of what I ordered and what I received:

Again, love this piece and can see myself wearing it regularly for a long time.

Tips for ordering from Zaful and other sites like it:

1. I would start with looking at their Zaful+ Premium Collection, which is where I found all of the items I chose. They’re more expensive, but not by much, and it seems as if the quality is a lot better.

2. Like with other sites like these, Zaful tends to steal photos from other sites because they’re knocking off the design (and making it much worse, to boot). However, some of the images from this site feature a Zaful watermark, and they’re the ones that don’t look like they’ve been lifted from other sites. So look for that watermark to get a closer idea of what the item will look like.

3. Pay very close attention to sizes. I have my measurements written down in my phone somewhere, and I never buy anything online unless I triple check measurements. They may not always be accurate, but this method has definitely allowed me to score some great deals online, like this romper from Romwe and this jumpsuit from Shein. They’re both better quality and better fits than similar rompers I’ve bought from stores like Forever 21, for example.

4. Pay attention to reviews and customer images. Reviews can lie, as we all know, but if there are customer images, you’re one step closer to making sure you’re not getting ripped off.

That’s all! I really hope this was helpful to some of you when you’re navigating the risky world of online shopping. My experience was risk free, but it wasn’t without its pitfalls. Overall, I’d give Zaful as a website a 3.5/5. I was turned off by the fact that an item was just not shipped at all, and that an item of clothing was almost totally unwearable off a beach. However, I think the jewelry was pretty spot on.

I’m going to continue to wear these items and share photos of them when I do!signoff
