Fashion ft. Vera the Great Boutique // Backlines

Today’s look is this gorgeous, flowy maxi dress that can be styled up for fancy occasions, or down for something more casual. I’m very excited about this look because it’s courtesy of a brand new boutique called Vera the Great that just opened. I’m a big fan of shopping from smaller shops every once in a while, just to avoid that mass-produced look. I mean, I’ll still shop Forever 21, don’t get me wrong–but shops like these make me excited to buy more unique pieces. I’m obsessed with this gorgeous, flowy maxi! 5-maxi-skirt-vera-great-5 I paired the dress with another piece from Vera the Great: a burgundy leather choker, making this the first time I’ve tried wearing this new trend. Chokers are a little rocker for my taste, which is why I love this particular choker: it’s very my style, with the color and its simplicity making it less niche and more stylish.

I also thought it would work well with the colors of the dress and offset the dress’s prettiness, making it a teeny bit edgier! I dressed this look down for a more casual effect with low-heel sandals and no jewelry apart from the choker. I can also dress it up with a pair of magenta heels and a pair of drippy earrings!

Vera the Great stocks high-quality brands like Neon Rose, Reverse, and Vanessa Mooney. The owner, Stephanie Butler, also designs her own tees and is working toward having her own fashion line one day. I love that boutiques like these have real-life stories and people behind them, and are much less corporate than chain clothing stores.

Also, for my lovely community here, Vera the Great is offering 15% off from today, July 7 until July 14. Just use the code “SummerFun” at checkout! Follow Vera the Great on Facebook and Instagram, or check out the site!
