Review of 1byone wireless earphones

So recently, the company that sent me the record player I love also offered for review a pair of Bluetooth earphones, so since I don’t have a pair, I accepted. And here are my honest thoughts.

I tried the 1byone Bluetooth 4.1 Wireless In-Ear Headphones, which retail on Amazon for $38.99. I got them in white/gray. When I first opened the box, I was impressed by their quality, and by their general aesthetic. I charged the headphones through my laptop using the short cord they provided, and pairing the device with my cell phone was super easy. You can also pair another device, but for now, all I need is my cell phone.

Here’s what’s included in the box:

As far as the range of this device, they worked for me while walking around the top floor of my home. I went two or three rooms away, and they only stopped working when I started to go downstairs, so that’s good! I hardly will need to put my phone so far away that these will stop working.

The sound quality is very good provided you use to correct size ear sleeve, and these come with three, as well as three ear hooks. It took me a while to figure out which ones fit my ear best, and changing the ear sleeves was a massive pain. I figured it out eventually, with the help of a tweezer (maybe this is just a problem I would have, haha). I also noticed that these are nicely sound-canceling; I couldn’t hear anything my sister was yelling at me from downstairs. 😉

These are the small and the medium size ear sleeves. I’m using the small for the ear sleeve and the ear hooks.

According to other reviews, the battery life can be improved. It’s only about 4.5-5 hours, and apparently, they’re not very water/sweatproof, so if you’re using these at the gym, it may be a problem. I’m planning to use these at work, so having to charge them once a day will probably be inconvenient, especially considering the cord they provide is only like four inches long.

These are my first in-ear, wireless Bluetooth headphones, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but so far, they work great, they have good sound quality, they’re comfortable, and they’re useful!

However, the only thing I massively disliked is how these stick out of my head. They’re bulky, so I have to cover them with my hair. (Actually, that’s perfect for work when I want to secretly listen to music ~~~!)

Look how much they stick out! Oh well…(If someone wants to tell me if I’m not wearing them correctly, please do 🙂 )

  • I had so much high hopes for this but I’ll pass on them. I don’t see the point of having them if they are not very suitable for working out and I dislike how far the stick out. 🙁

    • Sadly, I dislike that too. Fortunately for me I hardly ever work out, so I like these, but I can see how that would definitely be a deal breaker.
